SAF Instant Yeast can be added directly to dry ingredients without activating it in water before hand. It is twice as active as regular yeast. Its long shelf life can be extended by storing in the refrigerator or freezer.

Shelf life is 1 year unopened, up to 5 years opened if stored in the freezer.
